Rousson, the semi-rural village in the heart of the Cévennes

Part of the Gard department of the Occitania region, the commune of Rousson is located north-east of the town of Ales at the foot of the limestone mound of Castellas.

It is part of the community of communes 'Vivre en Cévennes'.

The neighbouring towns are Salindres, Saint Jean de Valériscle, Les Mages, Saint Julien les Rosiers and Saint Julien de Cassagnas.

Rousson is also a natural site which allows many discoveries.

The slopes of the Castellas offer a breathtaking view of the Cévennes. From the summit you can see the nearby Mont Bouquet or the aureole of the Pre-Alps.
